About the role#
The IT Help Desk Intern supports daily operations and technology projects across the organization. This role connects technical teams with business units to identify, track, and resolve issues. You will participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving system reliability, process efficiency, and the end-user experience. This position offers hands-on experience with real-world technology projects, project lifecycle management, and technical support workflows.
What you'll do#
- Assist in IT projects focused on process improvement, automation, and service quality.
- Use ticketing system metrics to identify recurring issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot retail stores, distribution centers, and home office environments using diagnostic techniques.
- Support hardware and software rollouts, including system imaging, setup, and configuration.
- Document project tasks, technical procedures, and resolutions.
- Communicate progress on assigned tasks during team meetings and reviews.
- Provide user-focused technical support.
- Manage special projects as directed by IT leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor's degree program, or a recent graduate.
- Interest in project-based IT work and process improvement.
- Strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A customer-oriented approach and the ability to solve problems while remaining calm under pressure.
- Basic understanding of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software.
- Exposure to various IT equipment and systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and own portions of projects through completion.
