About the role#
As a Joint Venture Student on the Commercial Operations Team, you will provide administrative and operational support. You will work on projects, operational activities, and improvement initiatives. This is an 8-month, full-time, paid position based in Calgary.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Land, Accounting, and Operations to support team objectives.
- Manage contract and commercial agreement administration, AFE review, and ownership records.
- Investigate and resolve business issues, stakeholder inquiries, and data discrepancies using critical thinking.
- Use data analytics and visualization tools to support process improvements and decision making.
- Develop and document business processes, controls, and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a Land Administration certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining high data integrity.
- A collaborative mindset focused on results and continuous improvement.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta (Head Office).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: 8 months, starting January or May 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Eligibility: You must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
