About the role#
This position is based in St. Albert, Alberta, for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with Environmental Specialists, Coordinators, and Operations personnel to support environmental programs and regulatory compliance across conventional assets. This role involves a mix of office-based data tasks and field-based site visits.
What you'll do#
- Perform database entry, data cleaning, and quality reviews.
- Assist with the review and filing of field reports.
- Support Environmental Specialists and Coordinators with daily tasks.
- Generate supporting data and forms for regulatory application submissions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assist with Worksite Safety Observations.
- Participate in cross-referencing field activities with program inventory.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree or diploma program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Biology, Geography, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent.
- Comfort driving a half-ton truck to field locations and working in varying road and weather conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Interest in environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience in environmental, regulatory, reclamation, remediation, or oil and gas fields is an asset.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening test.

- Location: St. Albert, Alberta.
- Term: 4 months, starting May 2027.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
