About the role#
As an Asset Recovery and Sales Student, you will join the Asset Recovery group to manage surplus equipment and materials. This role focuses on asset optimization by redeploying equipment internally and facilitating external sales. You will gain a broad understanding of company operations and the oil and gas industry while working on projects that create value from unused assets.
What you'll do#
- Learn about oil and gas equipment used across the business.
- Identify surplus materials and find opportunities to create value.
- Match available equipment with upcoming project needs.
- Build relationships with external buyers and brokers to support asset sales.
- Execute transfers and sales while managing logistics, compliance, and reporting accuracy.
- Contribute to presentations, documentation, and research projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated sales skills, specifically in lead generation and negotiation.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability to influence others to move sales opportunities forward.
- Knowledge of oil and gas or industrial equipment is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
- Modality: On-site at the head office.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
