About the role#
As an Actuarial Intern, you will work with the Actuarial team to support pricing, corporate, or business intelligence functions. You will report to an Actuarial Manager and collaborate with senior management and other internal stakeholders. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Run data extraction applications and analyze the results.
- Contribute to monthly reserve reviews and analyze claims diagnostics.
- Prepare liability estimates for review with senior management.
- Assist with month-end financial reporting tasks.
- Build and maintain models for profitability, growth, and customer behavior segmentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program focused on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, or SQL.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards.
- A curious, analytical, and talented approach to problem-solving.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Mississauga, Ontario.
- The term is for Fall 2027.
