About the role#
As an Actuarial Intern at CAA Club Group, you will work under the guidance of an Actuarial Manager to support core functions within Pricing, Corporate, or Business Intelligence and Analytics. This role provides exposure to insurance operations and requires collaboration with Actuarial Associates and senior management.
What you'll do#
- Run applications for data extraction and analyze the results.
- Contribute to monthly reserve reviews and analyze claims diagnostics.
- Prepare estimations of liabilities for review with senior management.
- Assist in month-end financial reporting.
- Build and maintain profitability, growth, and segmentation models to predict customer cost and behavior.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary institution with a focus on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, SQL, or other programming languages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering quality work.
- A talented, curious, and analytical mindset.
