About the role#
As an Actuarial Intern at CAA Club Group, you will report to an Actuarial Manager and work alongside Actuarial Associates and senior management. This role offers exposure to disciplines including Pricing, Corporate, or Business Intelligence and Analytics. You will contribute to various financial and analytical initiatives while gaining experience in the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Run applications for data extraction and analyze the results.
- Prepare estimations of liabilities for review by senior management.
- Assist in month-end financial reporting.
- Build and maintain profitability, growth, and segmentation models to predict customer cost and behavior.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business unit needs and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary educational institution with a focus on Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related program.
- Familiarity with Excel, VBA, Python, SAS, SQL, or other programming languages.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering quality work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Adaptable, proactive, and autonomous work style.
- Advanced proficiency in both English and French to support communication with teams and partners across the country.
