About the role#
Intact is hiring an AI Developer intern to join our team in Vancouver for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within an agile squad to build and test AI products while gaining experience in a professional tech environment.
What you'll do#
- Write clean code, build small prototypes, and validate your work using unit tests.
- Analyze datasets and translate findings into recommendations for your team.
- Participate in daily standups and brainstorm technical solutions with your squad.
- Use Confluence and Jira to manage collaboration.
- Document system workflows and prepare technical documentation to support deployments.
- Provide project estimates and status reports.
- Support production handoffs and stay current with new technical approaches.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program related to artificial intelligence, software engineering, or computer science.
- Status as an active student who will return to school in Summer or Fall 2027.
- Proficiency in Python, Object Oriented Programming, and development design patterns.
- Experience or knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, Gen AI, and Agentic AI.
- Ability to work full-time, 35 hours per week, during the Winter 2027 term.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
