About the role#
Intact is hiring an AI Developer for a 4-month internship during the Winter 2027 term. You will join a team of Digital, Data, and Tech experts to build products that support our insurance operations. This is a paid, full-time position based in Toronto.
What you'll do#
- Build and test AI products by writing clean code and creating prototypes.
- Validate your work through unit tests.
- Analyze datasets and translate your findings into recommendations for the team.
- Collaborate within an agile squad by participating in standups and brainstorming technical solutions.
- Document system workflows and prepare technical documentation for system deployment and support.
- Use Confluence and Jira to manage collaboration and project tracking.
- Support deployments, provide status updates, and assist with production handoffs.
- Research and apply new AI approaches to your designs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Must be an active student who is returning to school in the Summer or Fall 2027 term.
- Available to work full-time (35 hours per week) for the Winter 2027 term.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
- Proficiency in Python and Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Experience with AWS, Gen AI, and Agentic AI.
- Knowledge of development design patterns and CI/CD practices.
