About the role#
Brinkmann Constructors hires interns for the Project Engineer role in our Chesterfield, Missouri office. This is a full-time, paid position that runs on a rolling basis. You will work on-site at our construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Superintendent with daily project management.
- Work with the project team to support your assigned construction site.
- Enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures.
- Build professional relationships with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
- Take part in the company BUILD program, which includes training, jobsite visits, and mock bid events.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering, construction engineering, or construction management.
- You have general knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- You can read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Chesterfield, Missouri.
- Work is primarily performed indoors at a field office, with occasional time spent outdoors in various weather conditions.
- You may need to perform light physical tasks, such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
