About the role#
Brinkmann Constructors is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for a rolling internship in Sarasota, Florida. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will join the Brinkmann BUILD program to gain hands-on experience through training, site visits, and mock bids.
What you'll do#
- Support the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Superintendent with daily project management.
- Work with the project team to assist on assigned construction projects.
- Enforce safety standards and project procedures.
- Complete daily tasks independently while seeking support when needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with subcontractors, clients, and your team.
- Participate in BUILD program events and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction engineering, or construction management.
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve complex challenges and propose alternative solutions.
- Prior construction work or internship experience is preferred.

- Location: Sarasota, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle objects up to 25 pounds, with work performed primarily in an office setting and occasionally outdoors.
