About the role#
Brinkmann Constructors is hiring an intern for the Business Unit Assistant Superintendent role. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Chesterfield, Missouri. You will join the team on a rolling basis to gain hands-on experience in construction management.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Project Superintendent with daily construction project management.
- Help maintain a safe, organized jobsite and support site safety initiatives.
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Handle project documentation, such as daily reports, meeting notes, and progress tracking.
- Work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in company training, jobsite visits, and program events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an associate or bachelors degree program related to construction, such as Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to perform physical tasks on-site, including walking job sites, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
