About the role#
Brinkmann Constructors is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for our Denver team. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date. You will work on-site in Aurora, Colorado, gaining hands-on experience in construction management through our BUILD program.
What you'll do#
- Support the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Superintendent with daily project management tasks.
- Enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures on the job site.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and your project team.
- Participate in BUILD program events, including jobsite visits, trainings, and mock bids.
- Complete assigned tasks independently while knowing when to ask for guidance.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- You have a general understanding of construction principles and practices.
- You can read and interpret contract documents, project schedules, drawings, and specifications.
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Location & details#
- Location: Aurora, Colorado.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Work environment: You will primarily work indoors in an office or field office, with occasional time outdoors in various weather conditions. The role requires light physical effort, such as walking, standing, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
