About the role#
Sundt Construction is looking for an intern to join our Water/Wastewater group. This role focuses on the preconstruction phase of our projects. You will work alongside our estimating and operations teams to support the planning and execution of construction work. This is a paid, full-time internship based in Tempe, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Support the estimating team with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid packages.
- Use modeling software to develop accurate quantities for projects.
- Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals.
- Help prepare and assemble bid packages, ensuring all specifications and requirements are included.
- Aid in the creation of proposals and presentations for clients.
- Organize and maintain project documents, such as plans and addendums.
- Attend preconstruction meetings to take notes and assist with follow-up tasks.
- Participate in site visits to understand project conditions.
- Collaborate with operational leads and other team members to meet project deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Curiosity and an eagerness to learn about the construction industry.
- Interest in pursuing a career in construction.
