About the role#
A Supplier Engineer leads projects to manage the onboarding of components for manufacturing plants globally. You will work independently and collaborate across functions to meet business needs. This role requires a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality in every task.
What you'll do#
- Build partnerships with global suppliers to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and lead Value Improvement Projects and cost optimizations within the supply chain.
- Partner with project management offices to support engineering action items.
- Execute plans to meet supply chain objectives, including risk mitigation.
- Coordinate efforts between engineers and cross-functional teams to improve supplier processes.
- Drive troubleshooting and problem-solving at supplier facilities.
- Support other engineers with acquisition or sustaining projects, such as supplier change assessments and material evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to commit to one of the following internship periods: May 17th - August 6th OR May 24th - August 13th.
- Previous engineering experience in manufacturing, supplier engineering, or quality.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to the Arden Hills, MN location.
- Experience with project management, working in a regulated industry, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Understanding of statistical methods, six sigma, problem-solving methodologies, and the ability to read design drawings and GD&T.

- Modality: Hybrid (at least three days per week in the office).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
