About the role#
The Active Implantable Systems group designs and develops products that monitor and treat heart conditions like cardiac arrest and heart failure. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join the Latitude Server Subsystem team. This team manages the verification of systems that store critical patient and device data, which healthcare professionals rely on for remote patient monitoring and clinical intervention.
What you'll do#
- Build systems that use AI and machine learning to create automated test scripts.
- Integrate AI-driven approaches into current test frameworks.
- Work with the subsystem team to simulate testing environments, removing the need for real-time dependencies.
- Collaborate with engineers to analyze requirements and design automated test solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising junior pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with Java, Python, data structures, web frameworks, and databases.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI through academic or internship projects.
- Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Preferred skills include knowledge of deep learning models, LLMs, ML basics, RAG, and medical industry experience.

- Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Start date: May 17th or May 24th, 2027.
- Duration: 12 weeks.
- Modality: On-site (five days per week).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
