About the role#
Analogic hires co-op students to work as part of our engineering team. You will gain hands-on experience with RF technologies, software applications, and test equipment while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals. This role involves project work and exposure to engineering challenges.
What you'll do#
- Perform software and hardware integration testing for high-power RF amplifiers and electronic assemblies.
- Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and arbitrary function generators.
- Develop, maintain, and debug applications using C#, C/C++, and Python.
- Assist with system validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols including RS-232, RS-485, EtherCAT, and Bluetooth.
- Create technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports using Microsoft Office.
- Use hand and power tools to support assembly, testing, and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and verification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Active participation in a formal co-op program for academic credit.
- Experience programming in C++, C#, Python, or similar languages.
- Interest in electronics, embedded systems, and software development.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness.
