About the role#
As a Research & Development Engineering Co-op in the Interventional Cardiology division, you will support projects ranging from exploratory research to new product development. This role focuses on next-generation single-use and capital equipment devices. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world problem solving, design, and system-level engineering.
What you'll do#
- Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
- Develop test methods for in vitro device testing.
- Assist product development teams with device design and testing tasks.
- Troubleshoot product or process issues related to design, materials, or manufacturing.
- Research and analyze clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
- Plan your own activities to meet business timelines and provide regular updates to the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to commit to the full program dates from January 11th to August 13th, 2027.
- Experience with medical device systems or laboratory research is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently as a problem solver.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- You must be able to work on-site five days per week, Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
- You must have reliable transportation to the office.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- You must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- This role is considered safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test.
