About the role#
This co-op position supports the Orthobiologics Research team in Naples, Florida. You will assist scientists, engineers, and product managers with research and product development efforts. The goal is to gain hands-on experience in orthopedic research while contributing to the development of new medical technologies.
What you'll do#
- Support the product development process by developing research protocols and executing tests.
- Conduct various research studies, including cell culture, wet lab tissue collections, imaging, protein quantification, and product testing.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data.
- Write technical reports to communicate your findings.
- Perform literature reviews on topics related to orthopedics and basic science.
- Present your experimental results to engineering and product management teams.
- Communicate project status and any issues in a timely and accurate manner.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
- Recent graduates of these programs are eligible if they are within six months of their graduation date.
- Sophomore status or above is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior laboratory experience, specifically with cell culture, biosafety cabinets, and aseptic technique, is preferred.
- A general understanding of the engineering design process and basic knowledge of anatomy or physiology is helpful.
- Experience with statistical analysis is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Naples, Florida.
- The position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
- The term runs from January 2027 through June 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
