About the role#
As a Metrex Technical Research Intern, you will support product management and research initiatives. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to understand the product development lifecycle. This is a part-time, remote position that offers the opportunity to contribute to innovation in healthcare technology.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute market or product research plans to assess trends and product characteristics.
- Conduct experiments and research projects using agreed-upon protocols.
- Plan your daily research schedule to meet project timelines.
- Record experimental data, perform calculations, and evaluate results to reach conclusions based on scientific theory.
- Prepare research reports and memos to document your findings.
- Participate in literature reviews, team meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions.
- Analyze trends in healthcare technology and help develop white papers on innovation opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Microbiology, PreMed, Biology, or a related field. Graduate students are preferred, but Juniors and Seniors are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize your time, prioritize tasks, and work effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.

- This role is remote.
- We have offices in Brea, California, and Romulus, Michigan.
- This is a part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
