About the role#
As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will support the development and testing of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies stent systems. This role focuses on medical device innovation and requires you to work on-site at our Maple Grove, MN location.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, prototyping, 3D printing, and testing of medical devices.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments and mechanical tests.
- Analyze data from test results to draw conclusions.
- Document experimental methods, results, and insights in structured reports.
- Present findings to cross-functional project teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Process Development, Design Quality, and Capital Equipment partners.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of vascular physiology, catheter materials, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, mechanical testing, design analysis, and quality documentation is preferred.
- Prior project or internship experience in medical device development.

- Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to the Maple Grove site.
- Status: Full-time paid internship.
