About the role#
As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will support the development and testing of Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies stent systems. This role focuses on medical device innovation and requires working directly with our team in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design, prototyping, 3D printing, and testing of medical devices.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments and mechanical tests.
- Analyze data from test results to draw conclusions.
- Document experimental methods, results, and insights in structured reports.
- Present your findings to cross-functional project teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to ensure alignment across system components.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to the Maple Grove, MN (Arbor Lakes) location.
- Basic understanding of vascular physiology, catheter materials, and statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with design analysis testing and quality documentation processes.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and mechanical testing is preferred.
- Prior project or internship experience in medical device development is a plus.
