About the role#
As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will focus on ensuring patient safety and product quality. You will develop and maintain quality engineering methodologies while serving as a representative for quality initiatives. This role involves providing support in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
What you'll do#
- Execute Value Improvement Projects to drive yield improvements and cost savings.
- Use design for manufacturing principles to develop tooling and equipment.
- Create inspection systems to ensure products meet critical requirements.
- Apply systematic problem-solving to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Innovate and sustain processes, procedures, and equipment for medical devices.
- Assist in developing streamlined business systems to track and resolve quality concerns.
- Act as a team member in supporting quality disciplines and decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to start on May 17th or May 24th, 2027, for a 12-week duration.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work independently and identify opportunities for improvement.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site, requiring presence in the local office at least five days per week.
