About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our Electrophysiology unit. You will contribute to the development of medical devices used to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders. This role focuses on hands-on engineering tasks, clinical data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a medical device environment.
What you'll do#
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype devices based on clinical feedback.
- Analyze large clinical databases to inform device design and procedural techniques.
- Develop test methods to replicate clinical use by viewing live and recorded procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects.
- Grow your professional skillset through training, hands-on experience, and mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or an engineering degree with a minor or emphasis in these fields.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to commit to one of the following program periods: May 17th - August 6th or May 24th - August 13th.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
- The role follows an on-site work model, requiring presence in the office at least four to five days per week.
- You must have reliable transportation to and from the Arden Hills office.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test.
