About the role#
The Engineering Operations Intern supports business analytics and reporting for the Engineering department and MMG programs. You will work with engineers and operations staff to gather data, build reports, and contribute to department metrics. This role offers hands-on experience with engineering operations, data visualization, and business process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Collect and organize data for department metrics and reporting.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards.
- Translate raw data into charts, summaries, and visualizations.
- Track engineering metrics like manpower, performance, and project status.
- Support continuous improvement projects by documenting processes and tracking action items.
- Identify business process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Document root cause and corrective action findings.
- Assist with Earned Value Management data collection.
- Coordinate department activities, including training tracking and recruiting logistics.
- Prepare materials for leadership reviews and presentations.
- Work with Engineering, Program Management, and Scheduling teams.
- Maintain project tracking tools like Atlassian Jira.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Coursework or experience in data analysis or business analytics.
- Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.

- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
