About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Intern to join the Business Operations organization in Salt Lake City. This internship offers experience in global supply chain functions and provides exposure to business forecasting, sourcing strategies, and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.
- Support business forecasting efforts.
- Partner with the Business Operations Manager to extract and analyze data for the GSC Division.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build competitive and non-competitive sourcing strategies.
- Validate and monitor information from multiple sources.
- Work with suppliers and internal customers to resolve problems.
- Assist with technology strategy and business case development for sourcing evaluations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Operations Management.
- Intent to remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
- Previous work, internship, or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Experience or exposure to Microsoft Office (Excel formulas, pivot tables, PowerPoint), Power BI, or Tableau.
- A general understanding of supply chain principles.

- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Travel: 10% of the time.
