About the role#
The Purchasing & Supply Chain Intern will join our team for a 6-month assignment from January through June 2027. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will support strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives across Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Supply Chain Operations. This position provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on procurement, supplier management, cost analysis, and data reporting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development of purchasing and supply chain training materials, onboarding resources, and process documentation.
- Support the creation of a fastener product knowledge and training program.
- Manage Power BI and Excel reporting projects, including spend analysis, inventory management, and supplier performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visual analytics tools.
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost reduction and supplier consolidation opportunities.
- Conduct supplier benchmarking, market research, and sourcing activities for consumable products.
- Support supplier communications, quote requests, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Accounting.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization software is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP is a plus.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Middleburg Hts., Ohio.
- The schedule is 24-40 hours per week.
- This role is paid at $20/hour.
