About the role#
This Strategic Sourcing internship is based in Linthicum, Maryland. You will join the Mission Systems sector to support global supply chain operations. This is a full-time, paid position for summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gather and use sector-level forecasts to help guide business decisions.
- Assist with technology strategy and business case development for sourcing evaluations.
- Extract, monitor, and validate data from various internal and external sources.
- Help develop supplier strategies, including identifying new suppliers and affordability initiatives.
- Build relationships with suppliers and internal partners to resolve problems.
- Research industry reports and news to identify supplier risks.
- Create short briefs and slide decks to present findings to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a related field, with plans to return to school in Fall 2027.
- A major in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or Engineering.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Previous work or internship experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel formulas and pivot tables), SAP, Power BI, or Tableau.
