About the role#
The Internal Audit function at BNY is an independent team that assesses the effectiveness of the company's internal control environment. As an intern, you will receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced professionals to build technical knowledge and understand how audit drives impact across the organization. This 10-week summer program is designed to provide exposure to governance, risk management, and internal controls within a global financial services firm.
What you'll do#
- Support audit work by reviewing processes, risks, and controls across different business areas.
- Analyze information, document observations, and identify themes that may point to control gaps or opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to audit testing, walkthroughs, and reporting to help teams understand process effectiveness.
- Partner with audit professionals and business stakeholders to gather information and translate findings into clear insights.
- Gain exposure to how governance and risk management support a global financial services company.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Ability to work without visa sponsorship.
