About the role#
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program in Engineering (Data Science) offers a 10-week experience for students to work on technical projects within a global financial services firm. You will gain exposure to our business practices, platforms, and teams while contributing to meaningful initiatives. This program includes structured mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional training to support your career development.
What you'll do#
- Apply data science and analytical methods to solve real business and engineering problems.
- Analyze data, perform profiling and feature engineering, and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Build and automate analytical processes, models, and tools that improve decision-making and efficiency.
- Partner with teams across engineering and the business to turn data insights into practical recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, with a preference for majors in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship for an employment visa.
