About the role#
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program in Engineering (Data Science) provides students with a technical experience focused on real-world business challenges. Interns work on Agile projects to gain first-hand knowledge of our business, people, and impact within the financial services sector. You will gain exposure to tools like Python, JavaScript, Java, and CSS while working on scalable, data-driven solutions.
What you'll do#
- Apply data science and analytical methods to solve business and engineering problems.
- Analyze data, perform profiling, and conduct feature engineering to identify trends and anomalies.
- Build and automate analytical processes, models, and tools to improve decision-making.
- Partner with engineering and business teams to turn data insights into practical recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Ability to work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
