About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Accounting department for a Summer 2027 internship. You will work alongside our Corporate Finance and Accounting team to support core accounting functions. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity based on-site in Dallas, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and record journal entries for general ledger accounts for parent holding companies and subsidiary entities.
- Assist with the timely completion of the monthly accounting close.
- Prepare and review reconciliations of general ledger accounts against supporting documentation.
- Identify areas for process improvement and work with management to implement updates.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and complete other assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as a rising senior or in an MBA/Master program pursuing an Accounting degree is preferred.
- Up to one year of experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer hardware, operating systems, and software such as MS Office.
- Ability to initiate tasks and follow through to completion.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- A desire to learn about career paths in the financial services industry.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
