About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our tax team. You will support the management of tax compliance for individual income tax, trust, and gift tax returns for our high-net-worth clients. This is a temporary, hourly position designed to help you gain a practical understanding of our tax practice.
What you'll do#
- Collect data and prepare electronic work papers.
- Input tax data into our software systems.
- Produce work papers for review according to department standards.
- Assist team members with various projects and tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current university student status.
- Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to learn new software systems such as CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, and Pfx Scan.
- A desire to pursue the CPA designation.
- Excellent communication skills and a self-starter mentality.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous internship or work experience and undergraduate exposure to tax accounting are helpful.
Location & details#
- Location: Dallas, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: January 26 to March 25, 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
