About the role#
As a Private Wealth Management Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in financial planning and client advisory services. You will work alongside our team to support client needs and contribute to firm projects. This program provides mentorship and professional development to help you build a foundation for a career in wealth management.
What you'll do#
- Observe client meetings and participate in team prep sessions.
- Complete a mock client presentation to simulate advisory work.
- Work on projects across investments, impact, marketing, operations, tax planning, and MESI.
- Participate in career development programming and firmwide activities.
- Collaborate with other interns across the country on projects and discussions.
- Engage in volunteer opportunities within the community.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Academic focus in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Genuine curiosity about financial planning and wealth management.
- A growth mindset, including coachability and a willingness to seek feedback.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Initiative, resourcefulness, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Accountability and ownership in your work.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, D.C.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 14th to August 5th).
- Modality: On-site, up to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
- This is a full-time, temporary position.
