About the role#
Brighton Jones is seeking a Winter Tax Intern to join our team in Seattle. This internship provides hands-on experience in the tax compliance process for high-net-worth clients, including individual income, trust, and gift tax returns. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals to gain practical knowledge and contribute to meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with collecting data and preparing electronic work papers.
- Input tax data into software systems.
- Produce electronic work papers for review by team members.
- Support the tax team with various tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program.
- Preference for students working toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
- Academic success and prior internship or work experience.
- Familiarity with tax accounting through coursework is a plus.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software systems.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, self-starter mindset.
- A desire to pursue the CPA designation.
Location & details#
- Location: Seattle, Washington (on-site in our Belltown office).
- Dates: January 26, 2027, through March 25, 2027.
- Commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
