About the role#
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program in Data Science provides students with hands-on experience in the financial services industry. Interns work on Agile projects to build technical skills in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, and CSS. You will gain exposure to machine learning, distributed computing, and scalable data solutions while working alongside experienced teams.
What you'll do#
- Apply data science and analytical methods to address real business and engineering challenges.
- Perform data profiling and feature engineering to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Build and automate models, tools, and analytical processes to improve decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate data insights into practical recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- A focus on technology-related or business-related majors, including Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
