About the role#
Benesch is hiring interns for our transportation team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to improve roadway and highway infrastructure. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling application process.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design.
- Perform traffic analysis.
- Prepare project plans.
- Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software.
- Learn about construction documentation.
- Collaborate with the team on project delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work well within a team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites.

This role is on-site at one of our Kansas locations: Kansas City, Manhattan, Overland Park, Topeka, or Wichita.
