About the role#
STV is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position that requires you to work from our office at least 3 days per week. We prefer candidates who can commit to the internship for at least 3 months.
What you'll do#
You will assist in designing civil engineering projects from the initial concept through to completion. Your work involves collaborating with architects, environmental engineers, and other project stakeholders. You will also interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Supporting feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments.
- Preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
- Contributing to engineering designs using industry software.
- Learning and applying current engineering standards and procedures.
- Assisting with technical proposals and documentation.
- Completing other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
You must be currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent. We are looking for candidates who have experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry. Proficiency in MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer is preferred. Please note that this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
This role is based in New York, New York, at the Empire State Building. The position operates on a hybrid schedule.
