About the role#
We are looking for a student currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture Business or a related field to join our production team in Fowler, California. This internship provides hands-on experience in the management of fresh citrus production lines. You will shadow an experienced production manager and participate in a rotating schedule during your first week to learn our departments and processes. This position requires a minimum of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a production manager to maintain high quality standards for our fruit.
- Help manage employees including packers, graders, machine operators, and forklift drivers.
- Ensure company policies, food safety programs, and general safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Communicate with leadership to suggest process improvements.
- Prepare daily reports for upper management and the sales team.
- Identify and resolve operational problems while providing training to the production team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university or college.
- A major in Agriculture Business or a related field.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly in writing.
- Knowledge of quality control techniques and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Ability to think logically and follow protocols in high-stress or noisy environments.

- Compensation: $17.90 per hour.
