About the role#
The Investment Banking Summer Analyst program provides an introduction to the M&A deal process. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to support transaction-related services. This role offers exposure to sellside advisory, buyside engagements, and private placements while helping you build the skills necessary for a career in investment banking.
What you'll do#
- Build financial models for transaction valuation, including discounted cash flow, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
- Develop and write documentation such as pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and valuation reports.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis on industries and specific companies.
- Research new and prospective clients to contribute to deal sourcing efforts.
- Compile internal memos and marketing collateral to support transaction materials.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, with a preference for Finance or Accounting majors.
- Completion of your junior year of undergraduate studies is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An understanding of basic accounting and valuation methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, follow directions, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
- You must seek advice from superiors regarding compliance issues.
