About the role#
As a Tax Intern for the Partnerships team, you will build your knowledge of partnership taxation. You will assist in preparing partnership specific items, including 704(b) and taxable income allocations, capital account maintenance, liability analysis, and tax receivable agreement calculations. You will work alongside experienced team members who provide direction and coaching on various taxation issues while supporting BDO clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the preparation of partnership specific tax documents and analysis.
- Ensure client compliance with applicable authorities while working to minimize tax and reporting burdens.
- Help develop, recommend, and implement methods to maximize client benefits.
- Monitor tax law and client factual developments on a regular basis.
- Use online research tools to gather pertinent tax information.
- Complete tasks and organize files to minimize rework.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting or Finance.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to sit for the CPA exam.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Leadership experience is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
