Tax Intern, Partnerships - Summer 2027

About the role#

As a Tax Intern specializing in Partnerships, you will work with experienced team members to develop your knowledge of partnership taxation. You will assist in preparing partnership-specific items, including 704(b) and taxable income allocations, tax capital account maintenance, liability analysis, and tax receivable agreement calculations. This role provides an opportunity to apply your educational background to real-world tax issues while supporting client service teams.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the preparation of partnership-specific tax items and ensure accurate workpapers.
• Help clients comply with tax authorities while working to minimize tax and reporting burdens.
• Support the development and implementation of methods to maximize client benefits.
• Monitor tax law and client developments regularly to identify impacts on client accounts.
• Organize files and manage data collection to meet filing requirements and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as required to support the tax team.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting or Finance.
• Actively pursuing the necessary school credits to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, and follow instructions.
• Developing analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
