About the role#
The International Tax Services intern will support our team by consulting on cross-border tax matters. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members to perform tax research, analyze international tax issues, and assist clients with their global reporting obligations. This is a full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with developing and recommending tax advice for clients regarding international issues.
- Coordinate with international colleagues to understand how US tax rules align with foreign tax laws.
- Research complex tax topics using databases like RIA, BNA, and Lexis Nexis.
- Help prepare Written Tax Advice on cross-border transactions.
- Assist in gathering client information for the preparation of international tax compliance forms and informational reporting.
- Gain exposure to the development of work plans for assigned clients.
- Develop a basic understanding of ASC 740-10 as it relates to international tax.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Taxation, or a Master of Laws (LLM) degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions as directed.
- Preferred qualifications include a completed Bachelor's degree, leadership experience, and prior experience with tax research databases like RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis, or Westlaw.
