About the role#
As an Audit IT Assurance Intern, you will work with Partners, Managers, and Senior Executives to deliver IT audit services. This role supports financial statement audits through the assessment and testing of information systems controls. You will be part of an engagement team, gaining exposure to client operations and business objectives while maintaining professional rapport with client management.
What you'll do#
- Test and assess information systems controls for financial statement audits.
- Apply knowledge of IT trends and system processes to identify security and risk management issues.
- Collaborate with client management to meet deadlines and resolve problems.
- Participate in recruiting and business development activities.
- Meet or exceed IT Assurance metrics, including billable hours.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Information Security experience or training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a complex team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Desire to pursue professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours when necessary.
Location & details#
- Location: San Diego, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires in-person attendance at least three days per week).
- Pay: $40 per hour.
