About the role#
The Tax Intern, Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to assist multi-national companies in pricing transactions between corporate entities. You will examine economic conditions and industry trends while helping clients substantiate prices charged between related parties to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risk distribution, and value drivers.
- Analyze industry and financial data to benchmark or document intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, including market penetration scenarios and the valuation of intangible property.
- Prepare project reports detailing the analytical approach, research, quantitative analysis, and final results.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos describing the analytical process.
- Develop presentations to convey analysis results and recommendations to clients.
- Take interview notes, prepare summaries for team members, and proofread reports prior to delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to produce initial drafts of reports.
- Ability to communicate directly with clients in a professional and confident manner.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
