About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work with experienced team members to learn our audit practices. You will assist in problem solving and fact-finding while building relationships within the firm. This role provides a hands-on perspective of our audit methodology and professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured training program to learn GAAP and GAAS.
- Assist with various stages of the audit process using BDO methodology.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, banks, and related parties regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using our tools and templates.
- Complete and present one assigned accounting or audit research project.
- Provide support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
