About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will gain hands-on experience in the accounting industry by supporting our client base. You will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to prepare returns and extensions, ensuring clients meet their filing requirements while managing tax and reporting burdens. What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions using specialized tax software.
- Assist with the projection of year-end filings and perform quarterly estimates.
- Help respond to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Monitor tax law and client factual developments to identify potential impacts.
- Utilize research tools to gather pertinent information for tax consulting.
- Organize files and documentation to ensure compliance with firm policies and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
