About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work alongside experienced team members to support our audit practice. This role focuses on applying your academic background to real-world client engagements. You will gain exposure to our audit methodology, participate in team discussions, and contribute to the firm's client service efforts.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured on-the-job training program.
- Learn BDO audit methodology and apply it to audit processes.
- Provide support to audit staff during active engagements.
- Communicate with client contacts, including customers, banks, and creditors, regarding audit issues.
- Document work in working papers using firm tools and templates.
- Complete an assigned accounting or audit research project and present your findings to a panel of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A masters degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
