About the role#
As an intern in the Technology Risk Assurance practice, you will work with experienced team members to solve problems and assist a diverse client base. This role provides hands-on experience with firm practices and the opportunity to build professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Document and test application and automated controls across various software packages.
- Perform walkthroughs of client controls and prepare necessary workpapers.
- Participate in internal control reviews based on Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and recommendations.
- Conduct client interviews to gather information for non-complex environments.
- Apply information systems audit principles and guidelines to client engagements.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with client personnel and management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow instructions from the assurance team.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Preferred qualifications include pursuit of a Masters in Information Systems, prior leadership experience, and previous internship or work study experience in information systems or operational auditing.
