About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside experienced team members. You will assist with problem-solving and fact-finding for our client base while developing professional relationships. This role includes a structured training program to help you understand our internal practices and audit methodology.
What you'll do#
- Participate in on-the-job training to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Provide support to audit staff throughout engagement stages.
- Communicate with client contacts, including customers, creditors, and banks, regarding audit issues.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using firm-specific tools.
- Contribute ideas to audit teams and respond to feedback from colleagues.
- Complete an assigned accounting or audit research project and present your findings to a panel of Assurance professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A Masters degree in Accounting and leadership experience are preferred.
