About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring for a Co-op or Intern position within the Canadian Tax Services team in Toronto. This is a full-time, 4-month role beginning in January 2027. The position offers a compensation range of $54,000 to $64,000. We provide support for students pursuing their CPA designation, including exam fee reimbursement, study leave options, and enrollment in CFE preparation courses.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns for a variety of clients using technical knowledge gained from your studies.
- Contribute to tax compliance projects and various other assignments.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
- Respond to client requests and suggestions in a professional manner.
- Communicate regularly with team members regarding project progress, updates, and any issues that arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program focused on accounting.
- A commitment to teamwork and a desire to provide outstanding client service.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario (Bay Street).
- Modality: This is a hybrid role. Staff are expected to split time between the office, client sites, and virtual work.
