About the role#
BDO Canada is hiring a Management Consulting intern for our Ottawa office. This role is for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within our national advisory team to help clients navigate complex business challenges and organizational transformation. We focus on providing practical insights and high-quality service to our clients, primarily within the public sector.
What you'll do#
- Deliver consulting services across areas like organizational and technology transformation, strategic planning, operational reviews, and change management.
- Conduct research and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights for clients.
- Create client-ready reports, presentations, and other deliverables using MS Office tools.
- Support workshops, interviews, and working sessions with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to support the delivery of effective solutions.
- Contribute to business development, including proposal writing, internal knowledge sharing, and thought leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Commerce, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- A strong interest in management consulting and public sector transformation.
- Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Eligibility to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
- Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.
- Interest in pursuing professional certifications like PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or CMC is considered an asset.

- The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring time on-site at our office.
- This is a full-time internship.
